CARIA. Antioch ad Maeandrum. Circa 90/89-65/60 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 15.63 g, 12 h), Solon, magistrate. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ANTI/OXE/ΩN - ΣΟΛ Eagle, with closed wings, standing left on thunderbolt; all within maeander pattern. HN online 1530. Thonemann Group B, 8 (O9/R20). Extremely rare, the fourth known example. Lightly toned and with a particularly attractive reverse. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die and with very light porosity, otherwise, good very fine.
